I was shopping for a non-greasy hydration cream or mask for my teenage son. He was starting to get acne, but he still had extremely dry skin. Therefore, I felt he needed something to soothe his skin after using the acne facial wash.

The shop assistant at The Nature Collection recommended me the Alaska Glacier Soothing Pack. It was reasonably priced at about USD 15 for 50 ml. The packaging with pictures of the bunny Miffy was also very cute.

I put the Soothing Pack in the fridge. Each time after my son cleansed his face, he put on a moisturizer. After that he applied the Alaska Glacier Soothing Pack. The gel like product is colorless, and was not scented. Hence, the risk of skin irritation is reduced. The product is accompanied by a plastic spatula for easy application.

The key ingredients in the product include Birch extract, Bitter mint extract, Wild berry extract, Arnica flower extract, Alpenrose extract) It also contains Provitamin B5 to calm the skin.

The shop assistant advised that I could also use the product. As I am constantly exposed to the sun, this product could also slow down the skin aging effects of the sun. The sun’s rays could cause my skin to lose its elasticity. The Soothing Pack will cool my skin, and firm up my skin. The moisture capsules in the gel will cool as well as hydrate my skin. The cooling effect is due to the presence of menthol derivatives.

Both my son and I loved the product. It eliminated the dry skin issue which my son encountered. Yet his skin did not feel greasy after using the product. My skin felt calm and soothed after coming in from the sun. My skin was also well hydrated.

However, we both have not been able to find this product in the stores and online. However, we could always look for products which contain ingredients similar to what’s found in the Alaska Glacier Soothing Pack. If the Dearpacker Alaska Glacier Soothing Pack comes onto the market again, we will definitely buy it again.

For now, we will just continue to use the Atomy Hydra Brightening Set which has similar ingredients and beneficial qualities as the Dearpacker Alaska Glacier Soothing Pack.
