Review of Eversoft Bamboo Charcoal & Cucumber Facial Cleansing Foam

Review of Eversoft Bamboo Charcoal & Cucumber Facial Cleansing Foam

I was shopping at the neighbourhood supermarket when I came across some Eversoft facial cleansers. The Eversoft had been a popular brand for its extremely affordable Avocado facial cleansers since I was a teenager. Some forty years later, they are still around! Amazing! I decided to try the Eversoft cleansers again, to see what’s inside these cleansers that has facilitated the longevity of the company.

The cleansers were indeed very affordable. I paid something like USD 5 for three tubes of cleansers in a bundle. I selected a bundle which had the Bamboo Charcoal & Cucumber (100 g tube), the Avocado & Rice Bran (50g tube), as well as the Yuzu &Gingko (100g tube) Facial Cleansing foam cleansers.

To me, proper cleansing is important. There is no point in purchasing very expensive toners and moisturizers if the skin is not well cleansed. Impurities and bacteria which is trapped in the skin could cause unsightly breakouts.

Usually, the general impression is that if something is very inexpensive, the qualify may not be as good. I didn’t have any qualms to try Eversoft cleansers as they are formulated in Japan, and according to what’s printed on the package, their cleansers are free from Sodium Lauryl Sulphate, Parabens, Alcohol and Mineral Oil. These are very low-cost ingredients and may be harmful to the skin and body.

I decided to try the Bamboo Charcoal & Cucumber Facial Cleansing Foam first. Activated charcoal in skincare binds to impurities which may be found in the skin. It is also anti-bacterial and removes toxins and excess sebum. While I have matured skin, it still feels oily if I do not wash my face every few hours.

I also love having cucumber in my skincare as cucumber contains Vitamin C which is a power antioxidant. Vitamin C is great at eliminating toxins, preventing wrinkles and promoting new cell growth. Cucumber also contains folic acid, which also helps eliminate toxins.

The Eversoft Charcoal & Cucumber Facial Cleansing Foam is black, and turns blue when wet. But don’t worry, your face will not turn black using it!

I wetted my palms with water. I squeezed a pea-sized bit of cleansing cream and started rubbing the cleanser between my palms to generate the foam. The cleanser foams easily and I was able to cover my face well with the foam. The thick foam lifts dirt and debris out of the deeper parts of my pores. I spent a few minutes gently working the foam all over my face to give my skin a thorough cleansing. The cleanser is not scented and therefore suits sensitive skin.

Rinsing off the foam with warm water, my face felt really clean. And true to what’s written on the package, it is said that the Cucumber Extract contains Vitamin C to aid in skin lightening. My face does look brighter after washing.

My face did feel a little tight after washing. Therefore, I quickly applied a toner and moisturizer to nourish and protect my skin.

My conclusion is that the Eversoft Bamboo Charcoal & Cucumber Facial Cleansing Foam is a great facial cleanser. It cleanses well and is rather economical for people with a tight budget. The brightening or lightening effect is an added bonus.

This cleanser is not oily and will suit people with normal or oily skin. Acne skin will also benefit from this cleanser since it is a gentle and effective cleanser thanks to the foam and activated charcoal. The Vitamin C will also help tighten the pores and fight any P Acne bacteria which may be present.

However, people with matured skin may need an additional product such as a suitable toner and moisturizer to nourish the skin after the facial wash.
